Why is the VR-1 Foundation System better than other crawl space repair methods?
Our patented system improves on older methods of foundation repair by taking into account the soil conditions under the home. Traditionally foundations are set by digging into the soil and allowing that pressure to support the home. A normal 18” foundation hole supports 1000 psi of pressure. The surface-formed VR-1 system is 9 square feet, and adjusted to 800 psi, it supports up to 7,200 lbs. which is 4,950 lbs. stronger than the traditional 18”x18” poured footing!
What’s the process for installing the VR-1 system?

Insert post into steel subassembly and lock
Insert subassembly into geo-form 3 to 5 inches above ground

These older methods often require extra time to dig out the surrounding soil and lift the home to allow access. Sure Safe’s special geoforming bags allow us to pour stronger concrete footings without all the extra cost and time associated with digging out or lifting the home.
