Frequently Asked Questions

How can you install a foundation for so much less than other contractors?

  1. We are manufacturers therefore we do not have a go-between.
  2. Our patented process offers efficiencies of installation that allow us to install a foundation in one day without moving or lifting the house.
  3. We install our foundations ourselves, we do not allow subcontractors or anyone else to install the foundation.
  4. We are a known commodity, only high-end foundations have an ICC-ES listing which shows proof of compliance with the latest building codes and is required by building officials, engineers, and architects.

If a post and pier house built in 1950 has lasted this long without a foundation problem, isn’t it more likely it will last another 73 years without repair?

The short answer is no! Concrete piers have a life expectancy of 50 years and become unstable over time causing the foundation supports to slowly sink and lose their structural integrity and will eventually lead to serious foundation failure if gone unchecked.

What is considered a severe foundation problem?

A failing foundation will show signs of damage such as extensive horizontal and diagonal cracks which can lead to significant structural damage and failure.

What happens if foundation problems are not fixed right away?

As a support sinks or loses contact with the structural member it is supporting the weight of that support is shifted to other nearby structural members causing more supports to sink or fail which causes a domino effect to take place as heavier loads are transferred to the remaining supports until ultimate failure occurs.

Can you replace the foundation in a crawl space home without lifting the house?

Old-style methods involve replacing the foundation sections one at a time and can be dangerous. The Sure Safe EFS method is the only patented ICC-ES listed foundation in the industry today that can be installed without moving or lifting the house in as little as one day and comes with a lifetime transferable warranty.

Do most older homes have foundation problems?

Older homes with crawl space foundations usually last around fifty years but today there are new affordable methods that carry a lifetime transferable warranty that will strengthen the foundation and bring it up to modern construction codes.
